Challenge Lunch

This is going to be a quick post, and I appologize! I just wanted to thank EVERYONE for those supportive comments yesterday. They made a tough day much easier, and I can't thank you enough!

A few pictures for you-

This is officially my new favorite snack! Whipped Cottage Cheese with Vanilla Almond granola! The perfect mix of protein, calcium, carbs and fat. POWER SNACK!

Now here is my challenge lunch. I know it's technically not "pizza" but it's the closest I've gotten in 3 years. I still felt like my usual sandwich, so I compromised. Half & Half. With some baby carrots and extra pizza sauce on the side. Excellent combo!!

Oh, and Amy....do you recognize that bread?!?!

ANYWAYS!!

I'm going to the gym in a bit, then working 3-11ish. And guess who I'm working with? C AND D! Oh my! This is going to be a VERY interesting night. But don't you gals worry, I'll keep you updated =]

Have a great day!!

  2. yeah i didnt see myself as being sick enough to go either..i rationalize almost..like i saw this one documentary and the girls were VERY sick and VERY thin and light weight and i would think to myself "oh well they are thinner and sicker than i so i can afford to lose a couple more pounds and be ok." but i mean the fact of the matter is that im just healthier and closer to recovery and survival then they are and i want to be normal again. i kept pushing it off too but i mean death to me is a scary thing and if i push it off any longer i know organs will be damaged and my head will just get more screwed up.

as for computer stuff i know i can bring my laptop and they have computers there you can use. i dont know what the dealio is with time limits but i am def. going to be posting and updating and staying in touch with all you little ladies on here and of course facebook!

  3. WOOHOO you found Martin's WW Potato bread!! How exciting! Did you enjoy it? I hope so :) Yesterday on the Today Show, they featured a "healthy products: eat this, not that" segment, and the Martin's bread was the "eat this" selection. I felt like a very smart eater. You should too.
Have a good day at work and enjoy the gym <3

  8. LAURA!! GOOD FOR YOU WITH YOUR CHALLENGE LUNCH!!! YOU ARE ROCKIN GIRL!!!!!!!! by the way i totally get what you mean when you said 4 oz feels like 400 lb-- i have definitely felt like that before.. have u ever considered weighing yourself on an analog scale and not a digital one?? i find this is much better for me because it gives me an "ish" reading and not an exact to the tenth of a pound reading-- because in all honesty 4 oz is basically a bathroom trip! hahaha but honestly-- you may want to consider getting an analog scale-- it made a HUGE difference for me once i stopped obsessing over every tenth of a pound.

  12. I'm so jel of that whipped cottage cheese, we don't have it in CA! AND that potato bread :D Your little pizza sandwich is so cute! That's awesome, I have similar feelings towards pizza- so I'm working on it with pita and tortilla pizzas! It's a good compromise and they're pretty darn close!

  14. To answer your question the other day, I pretty much always make my own meals. My mom tries to make stuff for me, but I usually don't let her because of unknown calories, unknown amounts of oil, etc. I'm okay with eating most things now, but I just have to control SOMETHING. It needs to be worked on in '09!
