OPINIONS NEEDED ASAP!

Okay girls, I'm sorry I've been so MIA lately but I'll be catching everyone up tomorrow!

However, as for now- I just got contacted by a writer for our local newspaper on campus. She said that she stumbled across my blog and loves that I am trying to support others as well as help myself by using a blog. She wants to write about it and interview me, but I don't want to expose everyone here to the eyes of UConn students. At the same time, I would LOVE to talk about eating disorders with the newspaper. What should I do!?

  3. girl i'm with Jaime - I definitely encourage you to take a risk and do it.. I think the pro's certainly outweigh the con's in this scenario... yes, it may be uncomfortable at first but I really feel as though people will admire your strength and courage to open up and be honest about your struggle! plus I definitely think you will be able to help so many girls and possibly inspire them to be as honest about their own issues with ED as well. You have an amazing opportunity to be a serious role model for so many people Laura - and there is no one more deserving for this position than you :). I don't want to make you feel as though I'm pressuring you at all - Just follow your heart and do what you think is best! Regardless of your decision i am very proud of you and you should be so flattered to have been approached by the interviewer - you obviously made a wonderful impression on her :). Good luck with your decision girlie..love ya <3!! xoxo

  5. If you really want to avoid being labeled 'that girl on campus with the ED' (or at least FEELING like you've been labeled such!), why not ask to remain anonymous in the piece? Then you would be free to share your wisdom and insight worry-free. The writer should be able to talk about the on-line ED recovery community as a general thing without having to point directly at your site, if it makes you uncomfortable.

  6. Do what you feel comfortable with!! If you want to do it then, girl, I'll support your decision :)

I'll sound like an echo but you could also be anonymous if you want to do it but don't want everyone to find out? Keep us updated! I think it's awesome, personally!
